  1. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Terence Thompson: We have had our 31 solar panel system for slightly less than 2 year. We have generated 30.6 MKW so far. Lumina has been great to work with and offer stellar service and solar products. We have enjoyed great savings on our electric bill and are paying the minimum line charge for 7 months out of the year. Our sales agent was Jack Wood and we loved working with him. He was patient in explaining all the details for the solar system for our house. We plan on going back to Lumina in a couple of. years to buy a battery for our solar panels.
  2. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Susan Serra: Our solar install was completed about a year ago and we continue to very pleased with the job. Courtney Sollenberger was our primary contact and sales representative. She was a joy to work with from the start, explaining the entire process in detail and patiently addressing all our concerns and questions -- even months after the install. It was very important to us that all our electric needs would be covered by the solar panels and she really worked with us to ensure that we have basically eliminated a monthly electric bill. Courtney has continued to be very responsive to our needs when any questions arise. The entire team from start to finish was professional, thorough and courteous. They quickly did the inspections, got the permits, completed the install and had us up and running very quickly. Everything was done on time and as promised which is rare today.
  3. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Frank Fackelman: We had a great experience with the entire Lumina team.
  4. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Ralph Baumgardner: Kurt Bradshaw went above and beyond helping us with deciding on Lumina Solar. My husband passed before he could witness the installation. He did a lot of research on solar systems and decided Lumina was the best. My son and I went along with his dream and Kurt Bradshaw was very helpful and kind. I am very glad I did follow through with my late husband’s dream.
  5. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Christopher Pini: We love our solar system! Works great. Super easy to monitor. Peter was the project manager, he explained things well and was always available throughout the process.
  6. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by James Mulherin Jr.: I tried to do a little research before zeroing in on a company. I had all my questions lined up and after the initial consult with Alex, I remember thinking to myself, why did I not do this sooner. He answered every question and the ones he didn’t know, he got back to me quickly with the answer to all of them. The whole process went really smooth. From consult to permission to operate. They ensured the whole process was completed with upmost quality and care. If you’re wanting Solar, I highly recommend Lunina and reach out to Alex for your consult.
  7. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Brent Ackerman: Couldn't have been happier with entire process from start to finish. Pete Hayes walked thru the design, specs and cost and answered all questions without any pressure. Installation crew was fantastic and reviewed everything upon completion. Highly recommend Lumina and Pete.
  8. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Ron Schnacke: We had a five-star experience with Lumina Solar. Peter Hayes kept us informed throughout the entire process from contract signing to even after installation. If you are considering solar, Lumina Solar is only company I would recommend.
  9. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Chris Stoltzfus: When I was looking to go solar I had done a few quotes and designs with different companies. Lumina came in with not only the best pricing for the work, but the best design plan for the area as well. Jack knew his stuff and had a base design already done that showed estimates based on previous sun data and satellite pictures. We were able to determine taking out some trees could improve performance and which ones could stay. We had to do some back and forth with the electric company to get started which was the biggest hassle. There was a lack of communication from electric on getting us approvals and information if the system we planned was allowed. After 5 months they told us it wasn't and that we would need to pay to have a upgraded transformer installed. They then took another month to tell us a price before we said no and we down sized to what was allowed based on the current grid. By far this was the biggest headache but was in no part Lumina Solar's fault. Once we knew what we were allowed we went back and designed a system that would work. Permits and paperwork went pretty quickly after we got electric company to sign off. Due to the weather there was a little delay in getting install started but the team that came out did fantastic work. The hardest challenge for the installers was dealing with my old house's thick walls, (18inches plus a little empty space before another wall) but after determining what was needed they came back and managed to get the hole drilled. They were able to answer any questions I had along the way for the project and provided insight into other questions I had as well. On the roof install side of things, things went smoothly. A couple of the snow guards got broken but they ordered in new ones and replaced them without a hassle. The full Lumina team worked very well together and were always professional. I have recommended them to others and would do so again. Can't wait to see just how well the system works.
  10. Review of Lumina Solar PA in Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Lauren Kozar: I had been considering solar panels for a couple years and had spoken with various companies. Lumina solar made it clear to me that purchasing solar panels were the best option. Dealing with their sales rep Phil Jordan through to the install was a pleasure and I highly recommend them.

Unveiling the Tricks of Residential Solar Power System Design

Think of the sun as a relentless artist, painting your roof with streams of energy. However not all canvases are developed equivalent. In Lancaster County Pennsylvania, where solar irradiance dances with seasonal shifts, creating a domestic solar energy system requires more than just slapping panels on a roofing system. The subtle art lies in recording maximum sunlight while browsing the quirks of regional weather and architectural nuances.

The Puzzle of Orientation and Tilt

What if I informed you that a few degrees difference in panel tilt could suggest the distinction in between a power-packed year and a frustrating output? Lancaster County Pennsylvania's latitude recommends a tilt angle near to 30-40 degrees, however don't hurry-- elements like roofing system pitch, shading from towering trees, and even chimney shadows can dramatically skew efficiency.

  • South-facing roofings are perfect, however east or west can still yield reputable energy if enhanced.
  • Changing panel angles seasonally isn't useful for most homeowners, yet repaired mounts must be chosen carefully.
  • Partial shading, even from a thin branch, triggers disproportionate drops in output-- microinverters or power optimizers can mitigate this effect.
